VAUGHAN KEAL + ASSOCIATES is a small award winning architectural practice with a broad experience in primarily residential design, both new build and historic, throughout the UK.
Led by Vaughan Keal who qualified as a chartered architect in 1998, the practice has won significant awards, including "Architecture of the highest order" from the UK National Planning Inspectorate and having historic intervention work Listed by Heritage England.
Vaughan started his practice as a student in 1992, with the £1.5M refurbishment of HMS President 1918, on the River Thames, in The City of London. He was elected Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts for a major contribution by the age of 26. He gained BA First Class Honours from the Oxford School of Architecture, MA with Thesis Distinction from The Royal College of Art, nominated for both Fulbright & Kennedy Scholarships he gained The Dean's Scholarship at UCLA in America. Practice & Management at the prestigious Architectural Association Bedford Square London was followed by chartership through The University of North London. Vaughan setup in the South of England and later moved to Suffolk.
Vaughan is known as an innovator, resolving conflicts between client needs and demands of the planning system, often turning difficult situations to advantage with his knowledge utilising Design to master Planning Legal matters.
